Interesting this review thinks the episode was sympathetic toward Albert. I thought he came across as a stiff, uptight asshole about 90% of the time, with the other 10% showing flickers that maybe his discomfort in his role as Prince made him who he is. Still, by the end of the episode I felt he should feel lucky that

Live By Night was such a commercial and critical bomb that I think his rep as a director is already tarnished. Having a surefire hit would be a good thing after that, I would think.

Bold prediction: this movie is going to suck no matter who directs it. Though hopefully it has more Batfleck crossfit training montages.

To be fair, networks would delay shows for any President giving a Congressional address. Not everything is an ironic sign of the impending Trumpocalypse.

I thought the same thing. The headlines are getting really clumsy around here lately. See the recent one about Robert De Niro meeting Marilyn Manson in a movie trailer where that totally doesn't happen.

I'd be curious to see a list of movies that provoked bidding wars at Sundance and bombed in the real world. The Spitfire Grill is the first major one I remember hearing about back in the day.

I'll second the praise for The One I Love. I thought it was a really enjoyable, well done Twilight Zone type of story. I'm happy The Discovery will be on Netflix soon.

Next Class is pretty great. It's covered abortion, Gamergate, swatting, feminism, car blowjobs, Syrian refugees, penis measuring, etc…and that's all in 30 episodes!

I'm a grown man in my thirties, and I've seen nearly every episode of New Degrassi, from the pilot of Next Generation through the recently released third season of Next Class. I'm not sure why I'm mentioning this other than to hope the AV Club commentariat can be a helpful support group.

Mike Voltaggio is sexy as hell. No amount of AV Club comments will change my mind, unless he's done something awful I'm not aware of.

I'm not sure why this particular story from my city is the one to make The AV Club. The guy stabbed last week at the Alderwood Mall food court has much more potential for jokes.

My only exposure to Dragon Quest is playing part of Dragon Quest VII on 3DS. It was incredibly slow and boring to start, and I never even made it far enough to fight any monsters. That's enough Dragon Quest for me, thanks.

Huh. Two great stars and a decent director for a video game movie? I might have hope for this if it wasn't for Assassin's Creed being in the same situation and failing miserably.

I have to assume this movie is made more for international audiences, hence the very welcome multi-ethnic cast. I doubt anyone in the US is clamoring for this movie.

Oh, we're still doing Income Disposal? Are we still doing that ill-advised Food section too?

It's a gorgeous transfer, but I was surprised by how middling the extras are on the disc. Wonder if they're saving the good stuff for this box set release.

I'm fairly annoyed they announced this one month after they got me to pony up for Remastered and Ravager blu-rays. But uh…anyone want spare Remastered and Ravager blu-rays?

One of my very favorite podcasts and one that doesn't get nearly enough Podmass love. Bryan and Erin are on a first name basis in my group of gays. I wish I could support their TV show, but come on, nobody has TVLand.

Nothing beats Christina Hendricks and her husband for the "beauty married the beast" award.

This has to be one of the most misleading headlines I've seen in awhile. Though at least trailer creators finally discovered a Manson song that's not "Sweet Dreams."
