I would argue they’re playing bad basketball because they have almost no players who are capable of playing winning basketball. I’d bet Luke Walton could be reasonably successful in a lot of different situations, but he’s coaching a young and talent-poor team that is still towards the low end of a rebuild.

I would be careful about guessing too much about the reasons for this. Last I checked, Opus Magnum was on early access for a bit, other Zachtronics games are on GOG... This could be anything from a guideline issue to a technical or business model problem.
