If anyone applied to NBC News with the same credentials, they most likely would not even be considered for said position. The only time people get selected for jobs without proper qualifications is if they are famous by other means, in this case, via her famous parents.

Because degrees in history, philosophy and public health make a proper broadcast journalist? I am not saying she isn't a smart woman with an impressive vita. That vita simply does not directly put her in the running for the position she earned at Rock Center.
