"I hate the Bachelor because I hate to watch women fighting over a man."
Ha, what's wrong with Atlanta? (Aside from pretty much everything, I suppose...)
All of the complaints you have about women on OKC line up pretty well with the complaints I have against men on OKC so if you're ever in Atlanta...
I went out with a guy this summer who was also pushy re: kissing. He held onto me as he kissed me (in the parking lot of a shopping center, so romantic) and then when I pulled back and started to walk away to my car after what I deemed to be an appropriate amount of kissing time, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back…
I agree, though I am generally confused about them at any hour. Like, what am I supposed to do with that?
I shouldn't have been surprised either, though admittedly it was not the first thing I expected to see when I woke up in the morning!
I'm nothing if not a cautionary tale.
I also met a guy at my gate at SFO, but this one ended slightly different. He turned out to be an obsessive texter, to the point where I lied and told him I wasn't allowed to text at work just so I could have 8 hours of peace and quiet. He regaled me with the dramatics of his divorce and his soon-t0-be ex-wife, which…
That stock photo could actually be me right this second. Oops.
Can I still #cotd this or did that go away? Because... #cotd.
Be right there. I'll bring the mint chocolate chip.
I was all set to give her the benefit of the doubt in finally being on the receiving end of the criticism and seeing the error of her ways until I got to the part about the diet book. Schadenfreude indeed.
The part that confounds me about that argument is when it comes from men. Who do they think THEY'RE having sex WITH? Because I'm pretty sure it's women. And if every woman listened to them and kept her legs shut, well... he'd be out of luck.
"The wrong side of history" is my new favorite way of viewing the world. I heard someone say it on NPR a few months ago and it's just such a relevant way to view what is happening in society right now.
The legitimately best part of this song is whoever set it to pictures of Farrah crying. I listened to it far longer than I should have just to see the next image.
I think my biggest complaint is that especially in the second half of the book, Flynn got us on the edge of our seats, right? Amy's money got stolen, now what? Desi is keeping her captive, now what? She returns and has to explain herself, now what? Nick threatens to expose her, now what?
Yeah, exactly. And someone else mentioned that the fact that all her money got stolen and she kept it all in one place was just indicative of her being a spoiled rich girl. I suppose that relates here as well, but it definitely felt off for her genius character.
Maybe it was just rushed for me? He seemed to be so pissed at Amy while she was gone, and then as soon as she was back she started to control everything again. He wrote his book, but she got him to easily delete that. I don't believe the kid thing so much. He could have just told his story on tv or something to get it…
Such good points about Desi's mom. She was briefly mentioned once or twice but brushed off as some crazy lady who wouldn't shut up about her son's innocence and no one really cared because Prodigal Amy was back. She could have added a lot and I would have loved to see the plot develop with Nick, Margo and the…
Yes! Agreed. I think it would have been far more interesting to see Amy's plan working, and not have her money stolen, and have it take a while for her to fall for Nick's please for her to return. I wonder what would have happened if she had truly been able to disappear and then returned without the easy Desi story?
