I just bought and read Lindy West’s new book. (It’s great, I encourage everyone to buy and read it.) She writes an entire chapter about what went down with Dan Savage and the fatphobic stuff, and explicitly says that he has evolved on this issue over the past decade. He’s also evolved on trans issues.

He sounds and looks just as resigned and numb as I feel. This is the eighteeth time he’s had to make this kind of statement in his presidency. Eighteen times. God.

Absolutely. Kurt’s voice - like Jimi’s before him - was perfectly adequate for his material, and he was in every way the right person to sing it. But a vocal virtuoso, neither was. Adele is.

“You turn the radio on and it’s fluff, you are listening to 90% computerised voices. We know Adele has a great voice but it’s even questionable if that is actually her voice or how much has been manipulated. We don’t know.”

#owlslivesmatter. Sorry not sorry. It’s Friday.

Agreed. It’s gotten ridiculous. To quote someone I know on tumblr when discussing women bashing other women for liking popular or feminine things:

Of course we still have it good. That doesn’t mean it’s okay to be misogynistic toward white women. Just like it’s not acceptable, for example, to be racist toward black men because they have male privilege. And remember that “white women” includes women who are queer and trans, who are poor, who are immigrants, who

I fucking hate the way that the “white girl” meme has morphed from a tool for women of color to talk about white women’s complicity in white supremacist systems into a way for people to spew gross misogyny under the guise of calling out racial privilege.

I don’t think our brand is about being a girl.

Based upon her interview on Rachel Maddow, I wouldn’t be so hasty to assume that Hillary Clinton is not the candidate that she wants. She seems to really admire her.

Actually what I got is that she’s sincerely excited to endorse another woman.

A few weeks ago I went to DC and street parked. About 45 minutes later the barricades and police showed up — they were clearing the street for the presidential motorcade. It was really cool to see it go by — something like 27 vehicles — and they made sure the street was entirely and completely devoid of traffic.

“I am female and a life long feminist” Are you sure? This sounds like a bot word salad.

Yeah the ‘I refuse to vote’ statement is one that needs to be kept to one’s self. Unless the person saying it wants to be viewed as a petulant child. It’s a shining example of attention seeking behavior. There are so many other reasons to vote like you said.

Becasue Sandrers has managed to convince a large segment of voters that Hillary is closer to Trump than to Bernie despite their massive overlap in voting records.

If you were spoiled with Obama, why are you hesitant in virtually voting for his 3rd term with Clinton?

This is pretty much exactly how I feel. I voted for Bernie in the primary but he totally lost me a few months ago. Also I posted yesterday about how my hormones are running wild and I cried at every Hillary article I read yesterday - and then I watched her speech last night and I bawled. Feels good, man. I actually

As a side note I’m enjoying dismissing all the angry hurt feelings her nomination has wrought. We have a WOMAN this close to the presidency! I remember being a kid in the ‘90s wondering why there hadn’t been one already.

Did you guys watch her speech last night? It was pretty damn good. And she’s really finding the right tone for this election. She seems like your cold as steel Aunt Hillary who, somewhere deep down, has a heart of gold. You’d trust her with the nuclear codes. And you gotta know she cares about your reproductive
