From an above commenter I only found one police agency on google that didn’t want to hire those who scored too high on an intelligent test because of high turnover rates (at least, that’s what the city said). I have a four year degree like the person in the article and with honors but I wasn’t shunned.

Actually, shaming might be a good way to keep people from reoffending. Of course with drug addiction, treatment would be necessary... and then the shaming. I believe it’s Australia that’s shaming offenders in an effort to bring down recidivism.

Shame... shame... shame

The possibilities are seemingly endless for drones but people are already complaining that they’ll be misused. I don’t get the line about not having to get a warrant... do Police normally have to get a warrant when patrolling the streets?

I’m just kidding about the synthetic bodied romance, geeze, can’t you comprehend sarcasm on the internet.

It’s ok, you can admit that you acted like a simpleton in your eagerness to bring the links. I let you know the facts and you went on to google something else entirely ;D

When we can finally download our consciousnesses into synthetic bodies, I might have call you Simple Jane when we’re getting coffee ;D bow chicka wow

Just the facts, Simple Jack. Which will make you recall that Rugrats episode of yore when Angelica’s Mom’s lackey was referencing that show when he said “just the fax” and the older couple selling their property were all “we don’t watch teevee.”

Anyway, we’re not talking about how many people in the country own guns.

You’re Simple Jack now ;D

I said most people “like” guns, I didn’t say anything about rates of ownership. Guns are glorified in many aspects of our culture... like in movies... and comic books. Simple fact, Jack.

You’re so gross ;D

I’m just addressing the points of your post and here you are still replying and very predictably being haughty and stuck-up. I don’t know which gun owner is more terrible, the ones that complain about the President and fear the government or the supercilious internet commenter who is addicted to airing their mental

It’s not pedantry just because you say so, you made a sweeping generalization and I corrected you. There’s no winning when I’m just pointing out a simple fact.

That person has also been very annoying so I thought I would write you a story… a creepy story… or an erotic one depending on your tastes… an erotic and disturbing story about an internet commenter who vexes. I think we’ll call them Trigger Man, appropriate don’t you think? I don’t comment much on the Gawker blogs

I’m not trying to win anything in these comments, just pointing out your incorrect generalizations while sifting through your condescension.

Yes, they are and as are many other things in life.

It’s not fact, you keep stating your opinion as gospel and twirling around the room like a human airplane. Were you at this comic convention and surveyed the people there?

Yes, looks like we can agree that the .22LR cartridge can be deadly but you keep generalizing that all guns are made for killing. It doesn’t change

It’s not silly to call out hypocrites, especially when they’re being very uncouth with their uneducated opinions. Not all firearms are killing tools and most people agree with that. This point is evidenced by firearms being designed and used to shoot non-living targets and win medals at an international competition.

You said that guns serve no other purpose, but you admit that they do. I’m just pointing that out. Thank you.

I guess you should let all those Olympic shooters from around the world know that their endeavors are evil and worthless, since all it amounts to is training to kill.
