You’re right. But this guy isn’t even popular with his own party. His Wikipedia page is a riot of occurrences when he went out on a limb and got smacked down. Like the time he lost a vote for committee chairman 16-3 (he was interim) and republicans literally had to wrestle the gavel away.

As a VA resident, all I can say is thank goodness for the intelligent, educated professionals that make up the northern part of our state that keep electing democratic governors.
