As much as I want to see her locked up it still bugs me that she was only convicted for defrauding investors and not you know PUTTING PEOPLE’S LIVES AT RISK. the sheer scale of her scheme imo warrants locking her up for decades but that acquittal will always bother me.

Long explanation short: compensation is for income lost, medical bills, therapy, etc., while punitive is to literally punish the defendant as a penalty for their actions.
