There’s a big difference between being free to wear something because of your own religious beliefs and being forced to wear it by your government.

Long before COVID we had to deal with the con cough. You have any sizable convention, it becomes a breeding ground for viruses and a larger than normal number of people end up with an infection. Can we just give debate moderators a microphone kill switch, or perhaps a lever that operates a trap door behind the podiums? Every debate now involves a moderator saying “Excuse me. Sir. Sir. Excuse me. Sir. I have to... Excuse me. Sir, your time is... Sir. Sir.” for several minutes with absolutely zero effect.

Speaking as a physician, I think it sucks that there is zero protection to prevent your employer for firing you for your off-duty political views. I think it sucks that the First Amendment only protects free speech from the federal government.
