There’s a big difference between being free to wear something because of your own religious beliefs and being forced to wear it by your government.

Amazing how the people of Iran are fighting for freedom and we have a sizeable group of “people” here in the US that want to make it exactly like Iran.
DID CORDEN APOLOGIZE TO THE STAFF?
This is such a betrayal to front of house. Way to go, management.
Long before COVID we had to deal with the con cough. You have any sizable convention, it becomes a breeding ground for viruses and a larger than normal number of people end up with an infection. Merely being at a convention raises your risk, it’s not just immune compromised and unvaxed people who have to worry.
Their split is clearly not amicable. So when both of them call bullshit on the nanny’s story, it’s probably bullshit
Damn, this is fucked up. Everyone involved, from the guards who first injured him, to the ones who ignored him, to the doctors that “examined” him, need to face charges over this and lose whatever licenses they have for life.
the most dangerous thing about trump’s political career is the spotlight he put on all the supposed checks and balances to presidential power which turned out to be nothing more than behavioral norms and apparently unfounded fear of reprisal from the electorate. if anyone just as power hungry but even slightly more…
*I* have an Official Pilot License from the tram in Disney World.
It’s worse than this. According to an article I read yesterday (I think in the Guardian, but don’t hold me to it), all of this shit went down on ONE STREET. Prospect Street. All of the reports said the women were missing from Prospect Street or lived on Prospect Street or whatever. I understand if reports of missing…

Can we just give debate moderators a microphone kill switch, or perhaps a lever that operates a trap door behind the podiums? Every debate now involves a moderator saying “Excuse me. Sir. Sir. Excuse me. Sir. I have to... Excuse me. Sir, your time is... Sir. Sir.” for several minutes with absolutely zero effect.
Yeah. I feel like this is more for street cred in their particular social circles. Nobody gives a fuck about what they did except the guys who had to clean it up.
Very similar to the “protestor” who recently poured a tank of human excrement over a memorial to Tom Moore (a.k.a. Captain Tom - an old man who raised a load of money for the NHS during lockdown and who died last year) in protest at private jets.
Speaking as a physician, I think it sucks that there is zero protection to prevent your employer for firing you for your off-duty political views. I think it sucks that the First Amendment only protects free speech from the federal government.
Agreed. People always romanticize old Hollywood stars, but they were just as messed up as the new ones.
I don’t think fucking loudly all the time is a measure of love.
The TikTok in question—which has 121K likes and 5.4 million views to date— shows Hughes’ confusion over the words “continent,” “county” and “country,”
“How free she must be from not being dragged down by the weight of knowledge” - that’s some serious shade right there. I like said person.
I will comment on every article about weird baby names and spellings, even if I only reach one person who is considering giving their baby a “unique” name:
If you’re going to go full bonkers on your kid’s name, that’s your prerogative. If you do that, my position is this: Maybe make sure the name you choose has a “mainstream” fallback. Either make it able to be shortened into a more common name (Contessina becomes Tess, for example), or give them a common middle name.…
