Some of the most irritating mansplainers I’ve ever met have been self proclaimed male feminists. 

There are a surprising amount of men who get off on the whole, “shy and not sure” thing. The woman’s vulnerability makes them feel powerful.

Duuuuude! President Obama was raised by a single Mother! Also, if his STATS are true then a whole lot of other good men raised by single Moms were in that room too and he talked shit about their Moms to them.

I had EXACTLY the same type of Dad. It made me determined never to make a baby with anyone like him. I think a lot of women in this (my) generation feel the same way.

This is so true! I supervised both a young man and woman as summer students at work this year. Both were great in their own way but during the debrief at the end you would have thought that the guy had practically ran the place and the young lady was much more realistic in her accomplishments. 

I was 3 years into a my Bachelor of Arts in History and still had no idea what women had done in the past until I spent my last year in the Women’s Studies program. It absolutely blew my mind what was being left out of my education.
