This is the problem with common thinking like this in america. What if my neighbor is crazy, I gotta buy a gun, what if all the calls are terrorists, we gotta have a tank in the police force. This shit has got to stop. Not only is it a waste of taxpayer money, police resources, and encouraging of armed response, it's also incredibly fucking dangerous. I'm sure these sociopaths wont care if they get someone hurt or killed with their pranks, and that's probably the root of the issue.

On the bright side, if swatting is a well-known enough practice, it might just scare cops into being more careful and less "shoot first, ask questions later".
