What does Feminism have to do with any of this? Doesn't that seem out-of-place? Isn't the real "story" here that Thor is no longer Thor but is still Thor? That second bubble there is completely unnecessary and should have been excised prior to publication since it muddles the narrative and seems to come from nowhere.

You do realize that Quinn was called out for being emotionally abusive and for manipulating her victims? Oh wait, that's the part we pretend never happened.

The initial incident was the "guy" calling-out his ex for emotional abuse and manipulation... which was partially about her sleeping with prominent game industry people behind his back and lying about it in their relationship.

Seriously, skepticism makes all things possible if not plausible. There's real wonder out there!

If that's the case I'll double-down on my "lazy writing". Strawmen are so easy to knock down, as these panels show :D

All I'm saying is that in a court of public opinion, specifically campaigning for a school to enact discipline on others requires those campaigning to accept discipline taken against their own selves for the campaign.

They're whipping themselves into a place where no matter how right they are, they're coming off as stubborn and childish for not taking responsibility for their very disruptive actions.

I'm not that worried, but the last time comics tried to ride the social justice wave we ended up with the 1990's explosion of every stereotype ever for the sake of diversity... much of which did more damage than good.

The whole thing feels like it was lifted from a Tumblr thread or something. The crime was talking bad about Feminists and the robbery is some ancillary concern.

I think it likely we'd see the "New Republic" either as a governing body or as the "official" name of the then-Rebel Alliance.

The Remnant! I forgot about that.

I laughed a little here. If anything, the evil Alliance in Firefly confused me greatly from my years of Star Wars fandom.

It depends on the scale of conflict in the galaxy. If the Empire still holds large swaths of territory (or even just large power), then colloquially the Rebels are still Rebels. While Endor was the "win", the Empire has rarely been portrayed anywhere in SW as dying an easy death. Based on some speculation, the Empire

I swear one of the more recent episodes included a line where Homer says something to Lisa like, "When you're older I'll take you to Cincinnati..." or very similar. The hints dropped are rather heavy on the Ohio side.

Tempstorm/Reynad tends to be a lightning rod for controversy. At the end of the day, they're generally a bunch of teenagers being teenagers— only now under a huge spotlight. So much drama from that community.

Honestly, I'd think if someone were to seriously adapt WoT it would behoove them to treat it like the trilogy it was initially meant to be. Do The Eye of the World, The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn and then end it. That avoids most of the problem stuff, though it does cut some of the isolated fantastic moments in

It's a shame we'll never see this round of "objects thrown through the screen while playing".

Does that mean that men are being disproportionately targeted in general shootings? Should be do something about that?

It gets complicated by those in their earlier 30s who had earlier prospects dashed due to the recession. I'm a hopper, but that is mostly because I went from awful to awful keeping food on the table for so long (and professional, but awful).

The larger problem isn't so much hookers getting beaten up in Grand Theft Auto — it's that women don't exist in a lot of video games. Not as bad guys, not as heroes, not anywhere except (maybe) as sexual objects.
