yeah, this sounds eerily similar to what my sister says about her own 2 year old daughter! she really has tried to kill her mommy. hahaha and tears.

She is endearingly nervous. I didn't think I could love her more, but there it is.
Amen. Also appreciate Bougie white people getting offended about use of the word "bush" (which is what it's called) and suggesting that it would've been "less problematic" to use a word they use, in their country, which isn't in Africa. Good work, folks.
My sister did my nephew's nursery like this. Basically all it means is that instead of Superman or Baseball or stupid stereotypical boy themes, she chose animals. It could be "Africa" or "Safari" or "jungle" but basically it means there are monkeys, elephants, and lions and trees.
Given the British monarchy's history, almost any nursery theme they chose could have problematic connotations.
I appreciate your perspective, although I wouldn't lump it in with all guys. I get where you are coming from, but here is what I have to say to you about it. You are wrong.
Right, because white ladies getting a $70 cut with $100 foils every other month with a $40 touch up in between and spending $30 a month on hair products and 20 minutes a day styling it is spending SO MUCH LESS than a woman with a $300 weave she spends 5 minutes a day during month 1 and can style with hats and scarves…
I'm so over people feeling like they have the right to somehow police/judge how the poor spend their money. I think everyone is entitled to some kind of treat, and clearly we also don't know what else someone sacrificed to have a treat for themselves. But no, they are poor, they shoudl never have anything nice I…
Don’t say or do anything you wouldn’t say or do in the presence of your grandmother.
"How did you put your pants on this morning?"
As a man, I can say that if you wimmens would just leave your wimmanly bodies at home, I'd not infer from your exposed ankles/knees/calves (calfs?)/wrists/faces that you are coming on to me. And, ooooh, yeah, clavicles. Christ, if you laideez come to work looking like you have breasts and all, I will be unable to…
And, oh my gosh, have you seen the way the men in offices dress these days? All those clingy polo shirts and flat front pants, leaving nothing to the imagination. Not even a jacket to cover things up a bit. And I don't have to tell you what happens when fall comes and they all break out the v-neck sweaters.
This advice is like all the other advice to women for sling with men: don't want to be harassed on the street? Cover your legs, slut! Don't want to have a man drug you and rape you? Stop going to bars, lush, and certainly don't go to the bar in a short skirt or talk to a guy in that slutty way you have. Want to be…
Technically, when I get my period and use tampons I'm trying to not be something I am, which is bleeding all over my pants. Is that wrong, too?
And there is also the common sentiment like: Why should corporations help people? They aren't in it for 'the goodwill of employing people.'
Thanks for this article. It hits close to home. I totally bought into the idea that I didn't need any rest or recovery after having by son through c section. I started exercising, did all the shopping, kept the house clean, hosted my parents (who are a "make me a cup of tea" please type not the take care of you…
I cried every day for the last week of my 8-week leave (which I negotiated up to). My husband could be home one week. It wasn't enough, not nearly enough, and I still weep occasionally that I can't be home with my daughter when she's still a small infant. Just thinking about it now is making my throat tighten, but we…
Dear Everybody, perhaps postpartum depression is a perfectly rational response to the giant FUCK YOU new mothers get handed directly after they stop being very special baby-making vessels. JUST, PERHAPS.
No. Tradition dictates that the Royal Dog must wed a British bitch of noble blood. Sunny Obama would be the Wallis Simpson of our generation—it would RUIN Lupo.
Feminism is about choices and, if there is no paid maternity leave, women's choice to become parents is limited by the institutional constraints on their ability to take time off to recover from childbirth and bond with a newborn. Maybe you should read up on feminism some more because workplace accommodations for…
