Bryan Sanders says: “All I know is that Sarah is never going to do anything that violates her conscience... She’s never been asked to do something that violates her conscience.”

cannot star this enough. exactly what bothers me about her every time she’s seen.

at the time? she was 13 and training for the National team. Then that hotel encounter was when she was AT the Olympics. you know any 16 year olds who are comfortable with the idea of most likely wrecking their Olympic dreams by speaking up about something they’ve been told over and over again was normal and necessary,

just wanted to say hi fellow gymnerd :) i think you pretty much covered the basic points of where we are with all this bullshit. good job :)

the child tax credit is nowhere near a big enough incentive to have more children. and really, honestly, birth control fails. there’s a great article somewhere that in poorer communities, having children is really the only way to feel like your life has meaning, purpose. We have much bigger issues to address that

lucky girlfriend, that she has a boyfriend who HAS hours on end, two full weeks of his life to dedicate himself to finding insurance options. not all of us are so lucky.

i had good insurance through a state university hospital. The gold plan, $600/mo. My ultrasounds were still $750 each, my hospital stay at my own hospital still cost me about 6k out of pocket, and the subsequent infection and antibiotics were another few thousand dollars. The system is, quite frankly, bullshit.

and... an 11 month old should be eating real food as well. Thus... no scurvy. this story is incredibly weird.

wait, what? we got taco bell for prom. #murica.

FMLA isn’t only for maternity or paternity leave. We have people take it to care for their parents or for their own medical issues. And do you not agree in any case that children deserve the best start in life possible, and a harried, exhausted, still-healing woman should NOT be faced with massive financial struggles

no? it’s preschool, starts around age 2. it’s usually like 3 hours a day to socialize with other kids. rather normal.

also rural experience. We live in a very rural county and my children don’t even blink at gunshots. Target practice and random rifle shooting by our neighbors is so common it literally doesn’t even register anymore. Even when my neighbor found some bullet holes in her barn, she was like, “meh”. My kids school is about

even then. I feel like I’d rather be stabbed then shot.

oh my god. I work at Shock Trauma, one of the busiest Trauma centers in the country. We are in Baltimore. We get HUNDREDS of gunshot victims a year. Hundreds. Perhaps over a thousand. that’s just one city.

I think we aren’t understanding because it really sounds like you’re trying to justify the shooting of a young woman over a heated conversation. I agree the best defensive maneuver is to always walk away and don’t engage but who’s to say that was possible? maybe these guys knew the girls, maybe it wasn’t so heated

do you hear yourself? You’re effectively saying that a verbal altercation is a reasonable excuse to shoot and kill someone- you really believe that? If I call your mom fat and you say my mom’s a whore and I say well my mom pulls in more $$$$ than your ugly ass mom ever could and then you shoot me, that your response

care to explain (not just rant about) how exactly OBAMA’s policies have ruined us all? I could understand if you mentioned how O’Malley’s policies have hurt Marylanders in some specific way or maybe how the local school board’s implementation of common core was poorly done, but truly, what exactly has OBAMA HIMSELF

yeah. the “mischievous elf” thing makes no sense to me. Our elf does funny stuff, like he took a bath in marshmellows and glitter. In a bowl, that I could then promptly throw away. Like why does the elf have to be “naughty”??

we do the elf and we love it. We don’t tend to use him for “be good or else” stuff but mainly that’s bc I forget. We just try hard to make the holidays FUN rather than about what everyone is going to GET. fun is exhausting but it’s cheaper :)

we just kind of have fun with it. My kids believe in santa and love magic and tooth fairies and my husband and I have SO much fun being santa... but we don’t send them to the mall to talk to santa, I fully tell them that the santas they see around town are not real, and that just because “santa” can make anything he
