so weird, you could be talking about my mother’s family. Her mother (my grandma) was one of 9, and out of all her siblings and their children and grandchildren, there is an alarming number of family members who died before aged 50. Like, it’s a Thing. My grandmother always said she knew she had to “get out of there”

i can’t wait and yet i am not ready to see What Happens To The Nurses.

I”M WEARING LEGGINGS RIGHT NOW HAHAHAHHAHA and the only way i’ll give them up is if you can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

drowning. in. lunacy. jesus is that accurate.

yes. this. she knew 10000% what she was getting into and did it anyway. For 7 years. That is some legitimate dedication to task.

I appreciate hearing your perspective, but I don’t know that I believe you. It seems to me that you experienced some incredibly ill-prepared female marines in training. I do not at all believe women “can’t” be a marine but I also would think the number who “can” would be for many reasons smaller than men who become

filed under “whoa criminals are really dumb” because dang this is some bad planning and execution.

i just. wow. seeing my children in pain literally causes ME pain. How can someone do this to their own child?? Good lord, those poor children.

I don’t necessarily hate the idea of arming some more folks in the schools (administrators perhaps? a roving guard?) the logistics start to become overwhelming when you think about it. The training and gun purchases will cost a LOT of money and teacher’s time. We can’t ask that they handle the training on their own —

so true. I mean, for heaven’s sake Ben Carson is up there blaming the VICTIMS for not rushing the shooter — it’s a short walk from there to being able to blame the teachers.

shootings also happen in schools because that’s where the shooter is unhappy. The people he kills, he does so because they are the very people who, in his mind, are causing all his mental turmoil and anger. School shooters tend to say this in their manifestos, if they write one. An unhappy, mal-adjusted 15 year old

LIES. there’s no way that woman aced 5th grade.

my daughter mistook super glue for lip gloss. it was stuck to her teeth for days and made a giant clump in her mouth. Fun fact: super glue doesn’t adhere to anything wet, so it solidified before it could glue her mouth shut.

Agree, i have no idea. My university had nothing of the sort and we had a huge greek presence on a very conservative campus. I am guessing the point is... popularity. another notch in the status belt.

the only possible redeeming factor of greek life is that it can be radically different at different schools. I am an Alpha Phi. My experience has almost nothing in common with the chapter at Alabama except ritual and our letters. Some groups do it right. Many others, sadly, do it very very wrong.

I have relatives in Alabama. All you have said is the Truth. And they even admit it. There is no shame.

as a self-styled pizza connoisseur, yes. they are better. it’s not saying much, but I would choose dominos over papa johns or pizza hut any day of the week, should I be forced to make a choice. Their marinara has a nice kick and the crust is quite a nice consistency

Umpqua Community College itself wasn’t a gun-free zone. Oregon is one of seven states that allow guns on college campuses—the consequence of a 2011 court decision that overturned a longstanding ban. In 2012, the state board of education introduced several limitations on campus carry, but those were not widely enforced

This is what scares me. And when I say something to this effect to a Trump or Carson supporter they immediately come back with “give examples, what lies” and so I list a few and they respond angrily with “the liberal media distorts everything, your facts are made up” and I’m like what in the world happened to

omg. how to have a pee on the helicopter. The queen must have just had a fit. I LOVE this.
