Actually, I just watched an all-black movie from the 1939, The Devil's Daughter to be precise. It was pretty bad but then I stumbled on a discussion of 'race movies'. Normally I'd be with you on that Nikki. I'm constantly deciding if I'm going to see a particular movie based on how many black faces are in the coming attractions but is a well written script too much to ask? There's an explosion of black-oriented light fiction but you'd never know it by this.
