I’ve never seen an Orca - in captivity or in the wild - and I turned out pretty ok.

My sister and her husband bought a house in Alexandria, VA about a year and a half ago. Literally LAST MONTH they told me about some morbid shit that has gone down in/around their house, and were all blasé about it, like, “oh, you didn’t know about all that? yeah, pretty messed up.” 1 - when they bought the house,

I’m moving from DC to Baltimore in a few months, and I preemptively changed my location on OKCupid because 1. I’m really excited, 2. In general I think the guys in Baltimore are way more “my type” (aka don’t wear khakis on the weekends and are a bit more genuine). Mostly I’ve gotten a bunch of “hey”s and “wanna get a

OMG I love you so much for the ice cream suggestion. I usually suggest coffee (because I don’t drink and a meal is too intense of a time commitment) but I like this ice cream idea way better. Plus, when the guy inevitably turns out to be terrible, the ice cream will dull the pain.

That's a big jump between "encouraging young women to feel comfortable in their bodies, even if they're not 'thin' or 'perfect' " and "posting naked pics on the internet"

yeah, lentils are the best! I dump a whole bunch of them in my salads so I can stay fuller longer. And I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t eat a lot of fiber. Pooping is the best.

One of my cats is getting his teeth cleaned on Friday and I already know at least one molar is going to need to get yanked. I’m buying that dummy the heated cat bed so he can take warm naps after he comes home and is all groggy. LIKE THIS ISNT COSTING ME ENOUGH MONEY ALREADY!

You’re right - beans are not in high in fat. But the diet I did encouraged eating a lot of beans IN ADDITION to lots of high fat foods - which is the opposite of what a lot of low-carb/high fat diets dictate (I’m specifically thinking of the whole 30).

Heck yeah! I’m all about that #highfatlife. I lost 20 lbs after cutting out booze, most carbs, and dairy (minus some milk in my coffee, DON’T TOUCH MY COFFEE). Some of my friends got super eye-rolley with me when I was like “but it’s good fat!” - and I don’t blame them, honestly - because I think when people think

You know what? Sign me up. Whatever, I don't care if it makes me a sheeple! A gingham button down t-shirt will look cute AF with my new bangs. SUMMER OF TWEE 2016 LETS GO

Well, sure, and that’s why they tell you not to date in your first year.

I’m right there with you! In the almost 15 months I’ve been sober I have done a complete 180 on the whole god thing. I am still pretty anti organized religion, and I still am figuring out exactly what my “higher power” is at it is revealed to me, but yeah.... it's all very weird.

He tampered with her peephole from the corridor. I’m not sure exactly what he did, but I think it was a Kramer-esque reversing of the peephole, so that he could see inside the room from the outside.

my sexual awakening

My granny (who lived to be 106!) used to tell me all about rationing, and for some reason I always remember being fascinated that a pair of tights was like, impossible to come by. She was born in 1907, so she had really clear memories of "the war" and living in Burma & India during the occupation. Really fascinating

I'm not mocking her. I'm just daydreaming about what *I* would do.

This happened to my mom’s cat AND my old roommate’s cat. Both were in the 5-7 range. According to the vets, heart murmurs are very common in cats but like Rich said, hard to diagnose. You don't find out about it until it's too late.

I’m wondering how many of them just don’t want to pay the usual additional deposits and rent that most pet-friendly buildings require. My current apartment doesn’t charge pet rent, but I’m about to move into one that does ($30/month per animal) - which I am happy to pay. But it’s not outside the realm of possibility

Now I am daydreaming about what I’d do if I was lucky (rich) enough to be able to dedicate a year to “personal development”. I'd take a boat across the Drake Passage and go to Antarctica, take cooking classes, get pedicures once a week, learn Chinese, and develop arm muscles and maybe some abs.
