They were my go to site for music from 07-10 and I really still like their best of the decade list. But yeah, these past two years have taken a downward turn for me.

I think I played that Foxygen record at least once a week for the whole summer. It is one of those great pool or beach day records.

I haven't even gotten to Sleeper yet, I need to buy it.

Like when Wye Oak topped the list in 2011? Haha, actually I really liked that album and list. Except Low's C'mon, couldn't stand that record.

I'm finding it a little ironic over on the ballots that one of the staff put Paramore on his list at 5 and then states he hates the new fall out boy. I've always lumped the two together in terms of sound/genre, so I assumed if you liked one you'd like the other. Guess I was wrong.

Listened to MCII again yesterday while driving and man it is such a great, well crafted album.

Yeah I'd put Okkervil River or Queens of the Stone Age or Arctic Monkeys or Wavves or Kurt Vile (or many others) over Paramore or Fall Out Boy. Are the new music writers too emo obsessed or too young and still associate those bands with high school? It feels like the music part of this site went downhill this year.
