I bet this is close to the top of non finals series wins for pop. After getting blown out in game 1 by a ‘new’ NBA team(all small, tons of threes, etc) and then coming back and closing the series with no all star on the court and winning with rebounding and mid range 2's.

Pop owns D’Antoni, period. Those great Nash/Amare Suns teams never properly contended for a title because Pop knew exactly how to force them to play at the Spurs’ preferred pace and D’Antoni never once adjusted for it.

The Manu Ginobili block from game 5, left a demoralizing and humiliating effect on Harden. Ginobili ended all Houston’s hope there in game 5. Ginobili is due all credit for Houston’s game 6 performance.

Harden fouled out on an intentional foul he took for the express purpose of getting out of the game in a 30 point beat down. That was probably the biggest “I quit” moment in the history of sports.

Yeah, this feels pretty good right now, especially since the Spurs got knocked out earlier than expected the past 2 seasons, but I’m already bracing myself for the Warriors series. Stranger things have happened, though.
