I don’t know, but I propose that those of us in the North start up “We Kicked Your Ass Day” and schedule it on the same day.
Hands down, my personal favorite conspiracy theory is one covered over on your sister site Deadspin, and that is the Stevie Wonder truther movement. After examining the evidence, I am sufficiently convinced that he can, at least somewhat, see. Short of a certified report from an optometrist saying otherwise, I will…
I ranted about this in Slack, but what bothers me about these bullshit foul calls the most (because I am the kind of weirdo who thinks about things in these terms) is: They’re not penalizing defenders for breaking basketball rules. They’re affirmatively rewarding offensive players for successfully play-acting.
Now just wait a damn minute. Andy is telling us about conspiracy theory? It’s in the editorial page clear as day.
Still. You could do your part. April 26 is Confederate Memorial Day. Remember it appropriately. Remember, for instance, that the first reason offered by South Carolina to justify the secession was that much of the union refused to enforce the Fugitive Slave Act. Remember, when somebody from the south talks about how…
I don’t think people have it off because it’s Black Friday, they (most likely full-time salaried employees) have it off because it’s a lame-duck Friday between thanksgiving and the weekend.
While I’d agree that it’s troubling that states in the south would continue to hold tight to Confederate observance (and I’m from the south, so I’m very conscious of this kind of thing), Confederate Memorial Day is far less troubling to me than the fact that states in the south still find ways to observe Robert E. Lee…
I grew up in Bluefield. As far as we knew the only thing in Princeton was toxic sludge and people who ate lead paint ;)
I’m an atheist and I, theoretically, support Bible literature in publicly funded schools. I took bible literature in my public high school and it was the best, most rigorous humanities course that I took. But the difference was, indeed, that at 17 I was able to appreciate the text for what it is: An incredible…
Reminds me of my favorite movie line:
On the other hand, an immune system that doesn’t get regular practice is weaker.

I sure hope so. My hairline has been receding further and further, and I can’t even think about going bald without edging towards a nervous breakdown or going into a deep depression...
Well, looking back at pictures of me, there are very few where i am not hatless and the only one i really like is when i had buzzed my hair really short(like a #2 or #3) after accidently putting on the wrong number clipper a few years ago. I then let it grow back and for a year and a half or so i was using Rogaine but…
As a formerly balding, now shaven man, I will admit I get many more positive comments/looks than when I was just a 5-headed, combed-over man.
I think it’s refreshing when men embrace going bald. I actually think it’s an indicator of confidence.
At least it didn’t ruin his hair.
