James McAvoy has gone from gentle, tiny Scotsman who stars in period dramas to hugely buff action man seemingly overnight and I am surprised.

I absolutely see the logic in your reasoning and think you’re spot on about what’s going on in her head. But shit, when do we start demanding that people who lack imagination live outside of their own experiences? You’ve done about a thousand times more mental work than Pam has just in this comment, but she’s given a

There is a difference between advising women not to let their guard down and saying that women who ostensibly have let their guard down are making excuses for fucking up when they get raped while their guard is down. Will I advise my daughter to be careful and not drink too much at parties lest she end up incapable of

Look, some women can be the most ardent supporters of an oppressive patriarchal system. Pam has survived in spite of/by virtue of her physical attributes all her life and can’t see the forest for the trees.

They’re taking a test. Teachers keep busy during test time.

Not sure why that’s your business, but no. I have a computer.

Shout-out to Ann Curry!!! I hope you are celebrating wherever you are, hon.

It does to some degree. If people cannot afford treatment of their medical conditions because of our system, then they are incentivized to seek out discounted care, in this case in exchange for limited disclosure of private medical information. She is not a contributor to our healthcare problems, but she is taking

How about we don’t try to fix our broken healthcare system with a Black Mirror-like voyeurism and monetization of their treatments? Please?

That actually makes it worse, now that I think about it. If there is literally no other way to get treatment OTHER than “voluntarily” giving up privacy rights, how is that actually voluntary?

This was my thought too. I recently had a to get a couple of bumps checked and removed. As an aside, thanks to Dr. Lee, I was very confident that they were a simple cyst and lipoma; my doctor was so confused that I wasn’t freaking out in her office over cancer fears. But to get them removed, I had to pay $900 out of

No, because research studies are not YouTube videos.

The clinical studies you mention are strictly overseen by Ethics Committees, require very specific consent documents, and only provide small reimbursement amounts to cover patient expenses (ie $20 per visit for parking/transit, etc).

That aspect bothers me, too. Especially since specialist visits are more expensive to the patient. I work for a rheumatologist, and knowing how much treatment can cost even with insurance, I can’t imagine patients would turn down discounted or free care if they had a particularly rare or interesting condition that

I’m bothered that people get free services if they allow treatment of their medical conditions to be used on social media. That’s at LEAST bordering on coercion for people who desperately want and need treatment but couldn’t otherwise afford it.

This is actually super useful Short, my partner and I have a similar difference and this is a positive review of an ingenious and thoughtful approach.

My husband and I used to have this problem. If we have a stressor, I want to discuss it to death and he wants to leave it alone until he’s ready. We finally agreed on a ten minute venting session where I can let fly, and then we put it away. It’s been surprisingly good for me, he’s much less stressed, and we don’t

IKR?? Thank you for the concise report on the Daily Fail’s passive aggressive particulars (so I don’t have to actually read it). You do good work.

He’s the mean judge who gets teased by the other, nicer judges on a delightful British reality show about nice people baking cakes and helping one another.

I hope they get Tamal, the fab gay British-Asian trainee anaesthetist from last series, in to present.
