There’s a good word to describe an epically long journey across an ancient world that is fraught with hostile beasts and other dangers, and for some reason I just can’t fucking remember it right now.

And on top of that, you take the fights sequentially. It’s a certain type of spoiled arrogance to think you can bypass the the small battles because they aren’t the final battle. I’m sure all the kids in lockout camps, separated from their parents in a foreign land, really give a fuck about the DNC superdelegates.

One day you might actually get through your thick head that if you and normal people need to be “inspired” to do the right thing and chuck out the Republicans from power, this country is doomed.

Spot. Fucking. On.
2000 Liberals “Al Gore and George W Bush are virtually the same person! And Bush will never win. And even if he does he will be so bad that he will bring about the revolution!”
Eight years, 2 Wars, Tens of Thousands Dead, Trillions of dollars Wasted, Lives Shattered, our LGBT brothers and sisters

I’m fucking sick of people calling this country “divided,” as if the differences between the sides- for lack of a better term- is something that is able to be overcome with respect or something.

For a half day, it felt like Kavanaugh and the GOP couldn’t just plow through and continue doing, as always, whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Then, when Lindsey Graham started shrieking, they remembered they had the numbers, that they’re really not accountable to anyone or anything, and it was over.

The way that their female stand-in getting sidelined is what really brought home to me is that these guys will never learn. The really old ones can’t give a fuck about optics, because everything in their experience has told them they’re invincible.

Obviously this is all correct, but the fact that it has to be spelled out just shows what we are up against. It feels like screaming into the void.

1) Yesterday was not a trial. It was a job interview for one of the most exclusive and prestigious jobs in America. The burden of proof is only and entirely on the applicant to demonstrate he’s the absolute best person for the job. “Innocent until proven guilty” doesn’t apply. You don’t know what the fuck you’re

If they put this man on the Supreme Court, it effectively tells women that coming forward to report sexual violence is pointless, boys will be boys, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I live in Arizona, and the thought of voting for Hillary when it could have, (should have?) been Bernie just made me sad and uninspired. BUT, of course, could not fathom Trump over Hillary. Well, day of the election comes and I had to work a bunch of OT, then my tire’s flat when I go to leave. After getting the spare

Exactly this. Every time I watch this guy talk I think “I know people like you and none of them would remember the people they ruined because they could.” Your family being rich shouldn’t allow you to live at the expense of others, but that is where we live.

She was right. Biden shut the hearing down when 3 more women were ready to corroborate her version. Thomas’ antics were well known where he worked.

No. It was understanding the vast difference between the two and ignoring it. I went through this with Salon for a year and it was all because no one thought Trump would win. Surprise.

10 years from now you hear the name Kavanaugh. What do you think of?

“This feeling of embarrassment, this shyness, this bashfulness, if you take that out of the people, then these people will do whatever they want to do. And that is the very definition of America, a people who have no shame, and therefore they do, whatever, they want, to do.”

As the survivor of a sexual assault by a (female) classmate at some point in school (I would prefer not to specify) and a collaborator/perpetrator of possible sexual harrassment and boorishness in high school/college, these last few weeks have had me pretty fucked up.

Albert - I have gotten a lot of joy out of your work on this site. Your HitchBot takedown is to this day one of my favorite things I have ever read on the Internet, and your writing is a big part of how I got to be a passionate NBA fan. This piece is all true, and good, and like all of your work, well-written.

Right now, the man the GOP has nominated for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court is shrieking about shadow conspiracies and retribution. Just a model of sober-minded jurisprudence on display.

There’s no water in the desert, and relying on groundwater or bad historical meteorological data leads to issues like the Hoover Dam.
