No they tried to bloat up a kickstarter that didnt needed all that money to try and save the company, not to make a game. And this is what they did wrong.

What makes this scene even better/worse is the context: Marius, as many game protagonists before him, watches his family die. Naturally this angers him and he wants to seek revenge—but then later on, this lady explains to him why exactly his father was killed. It's supposed to be an emotional scene, but damn, I'll be…
I think it is. See my other answer for the way I think they should have done it. And is 773.000 USD really necessary to convince the publishers? And since Harmonix had to let go of a lot of employees, it implies that they already were in money trouble before going to Kickstarter, and they made it in hopes to save some…
Yeah I see that, but I still think that Kickstarter is for the small fry, not an already settled game company. If they wanted to make Amplitude, they could have started a new company, then turned to Kickstarter. I am worried that this one will inspire other and even bigger companies to turn to this way of making…
I was able to grab it.
probably on PS3 or 360 too, since PS4 and One have screengrab feature.
I like that he even drives a limo. At least they sort of make them tie in with what they're doing.
Did you sleep under a rock? It's the most overhyped game for the last year.
That would definitely settle. Same universe.
jup. Also, the rest doesn't fit. Just a lucky random name there. The rest are good though.
heh I like the bombs as well... but when one guard managed to yank off the bomb and threw it right at me I was surprised xD
This is the first time I've gone sincerely "WAHAHAHHAHA" laughing.
Thank you.
erh this is ongoing for all platforms. I cant connect to uplay via my PS4, and I don't want to miss out on anything regarding rewards..
Ok, so maybe that time I was being a tad unreasonable. But I wanted to save my Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze progress. What else was a newly minted Nintendo fan to do?
I know a lot of people in that age group who doesn't even touch gaming, not even small phone games or facebook games.
Oh God yes...
The GTA V one is also hilarious. I can recommend going into the link at the bottom of this kotaku article and see at least the videos with a game you ahve played or have had an interest in - the horror one is also fun.
"We're way more optimistic now than we were last week, but we're still incredibly nervous," Harmonix's John Drake told me in an e-mail this morning. "This has been a passion project at Harmonix for a long time and we're just within reach of making a game that publishers told us wouldn't be possible.
Exactly. If this proves successful for the big companies, it won't be long before they all do this - wanting money up front from us before even starting the development of a game - fuckers.
Whatever the reason, Harmonix's Kickstarter for Amplitude, an attempt at reviving the niche PlayStation 2 game of the same name, is not doing very well. As of this writing, it's sitting at around $643,000 of its $775,000 goal, with just about two days to go.
