Does anyone else think Rebecca is a bit sociopathic? The way she was immediately like "Ok, I'll leave you alone" when her heartbroken friend was crying on the roof. I know Lila said "I don't want to talk about it" but Rebecca was literally about to get up and leave her there, like she couldn't empathise at all.
I haven't read the books so I'm afraid I didn't read your response for fear of spoilers. From the perspective of the show alone, which seems to have its own universe, that scene appeared pretty cut and dry, but I can appreciate there may have been nuances that book readers could have picked up on.

It wasn't compassion that stayed Arya's hand. It was vengeance not granting The Hound what he wanted, and letting him die a slow death alone. And Brienne was not comparing herself with Arya in order to gain her trust and keep the vow - at that point she didn't know who Arya was. Come on, this is just sloppy.
