I saved up in-game currency from duplicate loot boxes and used it during holiday events to buy whatever skins I wanted.  All without spending a penny after the initial purchase.  I can no longer do that.  

I mean, the die size on the 4080 12 GB suggested it was just a rebranded 4060 that they were asked 900 bucks for. People calling their bluff probably made it tough to sell it at that price point.

As someone who has a little over 1k hours in OW, the new battle pass has sapped my love for the game. OW1's loot boxes seem downright tame now. At least it was just customizations and character flair. And you could theoretically earn everything through them. I really hate battle passes but they’re the new hotness so we’re stuck with them. 

Their new monetization scheme makes me miss loot boxes. That says it all.

I mean, to me, it just looks like a dumb move that came out lucky for her. It wasn’t a smart play at all, but then again, Adelstein going all in wasn’t particularly smart either. Both went in with nothing and one person won because someone has to.

I abandoned AC and Ubisoft because of the disappointment of Watch Dogs and their portrayal of Chicago. Almost like they were upset with us for the way we butcher the French language in our pronunciation of Des Planes.

There’s nothing to be convinced about; that’s just a fact. Nolan North said as much at a con a few years back. He explained that early on in the series Patrice Desilets sat him down and explained the arc of Desmond and the goal was the last game in the series would have him acting as an assassin in the modern day.

This is what I thought was happening too and hoped it would end up there as well. I really wanted a modern/future AC serving as a culmination to the story. But the story became a victim of the series’ success long ago. I still enjoy the games, but I also still think about what might have been.

I think it would be a fitting/lasting tribute to Fahey if the writers of Kotaku and the commenters present their best/weirdest/batshit crazy snacks for a weekly challenge.
