The GOP tax bill contains a provision aimed at grad school tuition waivers, to treat them as taxable income. So if you get a stipend of $20,000 and your tuition waiver is for $50,000, you would get taxed as though you’re making $70,000. Which would probably at least quadruple your tax burden.
On the bright side, the sounds Disney must have made after sitting on its own balls would probably make a great song!
