1) China's smog is industrial, not automotive. They are just trying to reduce congestion and keep the rest of the world at bay by pretending to care about the environmental initiatives.

2) Electric cars are poor investments, poor quality, and a step backwards technologically. Of course they are selling poorly.

Wow, I expected to me face palming about the guy driving the APC around town with the machine gun... but the cops completely stole it. They admit to trying to FIND something to charge him with? If you are digging through laws specifically to try to stretch something to fit, you are doing it wrong. The spirit of the

It's easy if you are organized and you were the one who took it apart. On the other hand, I won't touch an engine I'm not familiar with that someone else dissected.

I was thinking the same thing. Heck, so could have just send him for milk with a note taped to his back that said he was carrying $1000 cash and she would have never seen him again.

Agreed. People forget that the war was slated long before slavery was an issue. The North really started pushing the slavery issue because they were already at odds with the South. It's just like what happens today where we decide we don't like another country so we argue about something that they are doing that we

Screw that, I feel bad for her husband... if he had known she was so awful he may have reconsidered that little question he was asked during the ceremony. Since when are gifts intended to cover the cost of anything? Wasn't the point to help get the new couple established? If you are paying $200 a head for the

A) Auction it for either general funds or charity.
B) Raffle it at a fund raiser for local services.
C) Donate it to a school as "non-road worthy" for their race team.
D) Part it out and keep the shell as a trophy.

Angry conservative? It sounds to me as though you are simply trying to project your personal political insecurities onto others. You do not have to have a political leaning to dislike a failed government program. My joking about how inefficiently the government operates and how poorly conceived the "stimulus" programs

*whoosh* Sorry, that was my point going right over your head. The play on government inefficiency appears to have been too much for you underdeveloped humor system.

This has been the story with all these development and "stimulus" programs. The only people getting actual jobs out of the deal are the people at DOE handing out the grants/loans and the people making the signs they are putting everywhere that say "Your tax dollars at work".

No. My first cars were complete garbage, but I had to buy them myself. That is why I always took great pride in always stepping up the actual quality of my vehicles rather than simply buying something newer or more trendy.

Traffic reduction and autonomous vehicles will save car culture, but the biggest threat are people with regulatory powers who are ignorant and bias. For instance those at the EPA who are a dangerous mix of ignorance and extreme bias that have quasi-legal regulating power and the ability to destroy entire industries.

Here's a little tip about life: the opposition doesn't care about your well being. The aircraft are operating at the behest of the leader they are marching against... that makes them enemies. Pointing laser pointers is very minor in the grand scheme of things ranging from throwing things to trying to shoot them down

This guy is a complete idiot for many other reasons than going after a 17 year old, but I agree this is a screwed up definition of a "child". This situation just shows how screwed up the world is getting when they try to lump 17 year olds into the same bracket as 10 year olds or 5 year olds. At 17 you are not a child,

People really spend time thinking about those who drive Chrysler products? To me they are just beige/filler for the roads. I don't think about the traits of the driver or what poor choices in life lead to their current vehicle, I simply drive around them and try to avoid giving them a chance to crash into me. Now

Someone needs to snag all these textures/images to make an FPS map out of it.

What keeps woman out of computer science? The computer science. It's just more rare to have woman with the interest in the activities involved in the field. It's the same with many tedious and consuming fields. This topic has been studied to death, yet people keep trying to ignore the data in favor of finding

In what way? I have had them all up to Z32s and did not find the same. Until the 300ZXs it was all a downhill slide from what I found. Most of the components in the later cars were unreliable compared to the earlier cars with the exception of the benefits of the late fuel injection vs the carbs (especially the later

That would require cycling licenses, new taxes, etc. There would need to be a lot more interest before that could be sustained. Not to mention the problems as soon as cyclists start crashing into each other or someone is hit by one of these and killed.

The big problem here was that there were people operating the vehicle who had no business driving. You should not be behind the wheel of a vehicle you don't know how to control, let alone doing so when you lack common sense.
