I'm honestly surprised no one has been shot due to one of these things. As many crazy people as there are out there going road rage on fairly minor incidents, you would think something like shutting down the whole freeway for no reason would send at least one of the crazies off the deep end.

Cell phones are annoying because you can be 99% certain the conversation is pointless, but I actually have had more close calls with moms talking to the f*cking kids or their friends actually in the car.

In that instance another person in the car would be even more distracting than talking to a disembodied voice. At that point we all might as well just ride motorcycles to get minimum distraction.

Yeah... pass. Just raze that awful city and move on. There are far more deserving cities in better locations to host the event.

Now playing

This one wins the award for me. A cop in an unmarked car, without a uniform, essentially road rages a motorcycle and draws a gun on him in traffic. Talk about freaking weird/terrifying... at least I hope this isn't an every day occurrence.

I think it's a staged video. The breech of a tank can take a much larger pressure than what a hand grenade can cause. It looks more like they opened the chamber and filled it with something explosive so that the grenade could go all the way down the barrel and detonate something inside the tank.

Ah yes, denial. Don't worry, the world is fluffy and fun all the time, no one ever dies, and nothing bad ever happens.

I can see this. People are terrible about giving other cars door dings. If I just dumped that much money into a rolling status symbol, I would rather look like an ass by parking like this than go to jail for murder when some idiot gave me a door ding.

You mean the one they spent probably a few hundred thousand dollars getting the exhaust tuned to sound just right sounded better then basically open pipe? Go figure ;) A lot of people just like open exhaust cars because they are loud, not necessarily that they actually have a better sound.

See, rewiring my brain to see that would greatly improve my commute.

I agree they are bad, but the top of the list around here are Prius drivers. My list looks more like from worst to less worse: Prius, any SUV, any minivan, anything from Pontiac, any modified truck, economy boxes.

Completely agree. If I see a Prius or worse yet, a pack of Prii(?), I avoid them like the plague They are almost certainly some of the worst drivers on the planet. It use to be soccer moms in SUV's, but now it's Prius at the top by a wide margin They are always causing massive traffic pattern problems do to speed

Yeah, I can't understand dropping a street car to the ground. Do people really think they are helping out their Civic by dumping it onto overly stiff suspension without enough travel to clear a speed bump?

Yeah, although I still laugh at people trying to 4 wheel full size trucks.

I agree with the exception of track cars minimizing lift. The only thing I hate as much as bagged to the ground trucks are lifted trucks. Just so much fail destroying a useful vehicle by making it useless.

Based on the description I thought it was just some guy riding along with someone on the back of the bike and the cops crashed into him for no reason. Watching the video, it's pretty freaking obvious that both people were fleeing the scene of something and the police were in pursuit before the other guy jumped on

These are completely different market segments than the BRZ. In reality the BRZ is taking sales from those who would have been tempted by the Miata, Boxster, etc. The WRX is more of a sporty family car, with the STI always having a niche market in boy racers. There is also the matter of the BRZ numbers being tied to

Technically they are just passing as well. The problem is that most traffic laws cause more problems than they solve. For instance commonsense use to be applied in these situations. Passing was to be completed as quickly as possible while maintaining vehicle control for safety. Then over regulation and ignorant

This guy had no business running this speed in an area with cross traffic in an SUV. There had better have been a life on the line, otherwise this level of poor judgement should disqualify him from ever driving a police vehicle again.

It has more to do with vehicle type and location. If this had been a race car or even reasonable quality sports car on a deserted/low population freeway it wouldn't have been so dangerous... it is massively dangerous because it is an SUV (not designed for high speed) on rubber not rated for such speeds, driven in an
