it was actually a smart move. Rossi knew he was gaining time on Lorenzo in the wet. he knew Lorenzo was faster than him on slicks so he kept him out on the rains for as long as he could. once Lorenzo pitted, so did Rossi. this put pressure on Lorenzo to make up that time he lost, and he pushed too hard. checkmate.
