May your kindness to that couple be repaid many times over to you. The thought of her parents being that close but not allowed to hug them is making me tear up.

Every time I think about a) the idea that a scrap of fabric could save my life and b) the fact that SO MANY people refuse to wear a simple scrap of fabric to save other people’s lives... my brain shorts out and I have to sit on my couch for a while.

The arm thing is weird, isn’t it? I thought I had a pinched nerve for a while and I’m sort of just assuming that it was the bowstring-tightness of my neck and shoulders. Hope you’re able to find something to ease the anxiety.

This, exactly! I don’t necessarily want to be involved in all of the social interaction, but I love to see it from my window and know that it’s right there when my batteries are charged up and I’m ready to jump in for a bit.

My late partner loved nothing better than to make chili with amazingly complicated spice blends, and I’m glad no one was around to hear the snort-laugh-sob that came out of my mouth at your post. You are so right.

What really gets me is that I immediately assumed that the leak was planned by someone in the administration for some nefarious reason, and that it wasn’t done because someone wanted the raids to actually be called off.

That’s a great video. One thing I might add - practice breathing exercises when you’re calm, too, so they become second nature and you don’t have to think about it if you start to have an anxiety attack.

Your hair IS amazing! And I would like to join the feeling-good-about-myself party! I don’t have any fun colors in my hair right now, but I’ve been letting it grow out and embracing the waves (it probably just looks like constant bedhead but there ARE some real curls in there, dang it).
