Great writing as always, Robb, and great to see it around here! Best of luck chasing the record next year!
So what exactly are you doing here? I'm confused. Are you so stupid you think that Sturgis and NYC are comparable? Just because of a odd coincidence of numbers (disregarding volume, as NYC buildings go up and therefore decrease population density compared to flat Dakota)? But seriously, what point are you trying to…
199 inches! That's almost a minivan! My wife's current gen pilot is 193". That's immense!
Yeah, good chance this document could have led to prosecution if done earlier. That’s cynical, but likely

Once upon a time with would have been the first comment made. Now I gotta scroll through just to find it. What has happened, jalopnik?
Shit, you're right. Now I like them a bit more. Still won't fit a miata though
If you showed me this ad minus the pictures of the front end, I'd have bet the asking price it would have angry keep face. I'm shocked
When has f1 ever been a level playing field?
The "could be do it on a cold rainy day in Stoke" argument . Dumb in soccer, dumb here.
Im on the other side of the beltway, and this has me thinking. If nominee more about these cars or was a more capable mechanic I’d be there today, and repost on Monday for profit
I regularly autocrossed mine and even took it up pikes peak before it was paved. 93k miles and nothing unscheduled, no money out of pocket for anything but fluids and brakes.
My personal experience was that everyone who rode them hard had perfectly reliable cars. These were one of the top placing cars in scca autocross for a while, and not one owner complained. Anyone whose wasn't reliable wasn't driving it hard, it seemed. Like some bmws of that era, they needed hard driving.
Yeah, this is a bit pricey. I missed mine until I bought a Miata, and owned a gti afterwards that was completely unexciting by comparison
2005 was the second half of the first gen, with updates. I took mine to 93k miles, with regular autocross and a trip up pikes peak before it was paved to the top. Bot one single problem.
These are actually pretty reliable, it's the generation after this that's complete dogshit
Check the reddit thread, they have it a try. Went as well as you'd imagine it did
If I had those things I would continue to not take your opinion into account
Maybe they just don't give a shit what you think is ridiculous or not
