My first day as an EMT, we responded to a spectacular, fiery crash....that the driver walked away from without a scratch. It was remarkable. I snapped a photo, and was immediately told that if I did it again, I’d be fired. No photos of an accident scene, even one without casualties, is a good protocol for first

I agree, they should be fired.

I don’t get the strong sense entitlement, the greed, the blatant selfishness, the controlling attitudes.

My job will have me start back flying to our various operations later this summer. Always hated flying to begin with, but this stuff right here... this has me dreading it.

lmao, what is this puritanical drivel?

I mean, is it really hurting their rep worse than the channels that ARE focused on video games but have streamers who spew racist or sexist garbage, or let it proliferate in their chats? This is all the result of having poorly defined and inconsistently enforced rules, little to no oversight or moderation, and a

Boo hoo.

No one is sexualizing anyone. The movie is about a 13 year old boy realizing he doesn't fit in with his family and doesn't fit in with other people and worries that his true self will get him killed, and as a result forms a connection with a like minded friend. It's easy to read a queer angle to that without wanting

As someone who really enjoyed Luca for the gentle and fun little movie it was, it was upsetting that so many reviews, including this site, have written it off as being a lightweight movie. It’s certainly not a big movie, but possible queer reading or not, there was a lot of brilliantly emotional text there for such a

10 year olds can have crushes, it’s not unheard of.

Forgive me for being mistaken. In my memory, I had conflated the scenes where Elio and Oliver accompany Elio’s father on his archaeological trip to the sea with the setting of the rest of the film.

You are complaining about a problem that doesn’t exist.

I didn’t see anyone sexualizing them? For some reason a 10 year old boy being straight isn’t considered sexualizing. No one’s talking about these kids having sex, but you can know at a pretty young age that you’re gay and you can be attracted to people accordingly.

Reminds me of something Mark Hamill said about Luke Skywalker a few years ago

The benefit of having friends one could say.

In all the interviews I’ve read with the actors/directors/writers, literally nobody has tried to “force” them to accept it as canon. They are asked if it was deliberate, but that’s it.

It’s a little bit wishful thinking, and a little bit creepy, to claim this kind of childhood relationship as gay

I felt a little tingle, gotta say.
