Democrats? During Granholm’s time, Michigan lost a net 630,000 jobs. Unemployment numbers hovered most of the time above the national average. In fact for four-plus years until the summer of 2011, Michigan ranked the worst in the nation when it came to joblessness. Per capita 

Detroit has elected themselves some pretty crappy mayors, but I’d say the governor is far more important, especially since one of Detroit’s major issues is the people have fled to the suburbs (while still relying on the city for amenities). Ideally in that case, the state should be pouring money back into the city.

Like Jeep hasn’t recently survived a slew of horrible vehicles, and somehow come out stronger than most other brands?
