We don’t spend our money on infrastructure anymore, so you almost need an SUV to get around any major city.

I mean, most people have argued that Tesla is screwed as soon as mainstream automakers start making electrics. It has been proven.. a couple times that is not the case.
Screwed of course.. not equating to profitable
Ah yes, the same things people said when the I-Pace debuted. Or the e-tron.
Like it or not, Tesla is the leader in electric vehicles, and has had a substantial head start over all of the traditional automakers. Traditional automakers are the ones that need to play catch-up. The idea that one of these brands is going to…
Why does there need to be a distinction there? So what if the cars are more likely to combust while parked? Isn’t that actually the better scenario? Occupants are less likely to be inside.
I don’t doubt Elon is stretching the truth there, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that number changes as Teslas are on the road…
Uhh yes. There’s very few seats you can choose from on other airlines that don’t charge you a fee.
Basic Economy in Delta does not allow you to choose a seat.
Basic Economy in United does not allow you to choose a seat.
ditto for American Airlines and Spirit.
What the fuck even isthis post?
7.5 miles per hour of solar charging is a great accomplishment. I have a feeling that is an “incredibly optimistic” measure, but the average American drives 37 miles per day.
That means the car can usually keep itself fully charged by sitting outside at work.
If the figures are complete…
I hope you’re not trying an 11 second quarter mile with kids in the back seat.
So for effectively 10k more than an Alfa Romeo 4c, which has around the same weight, does 0-60 in the same amount of time, looks much cooler, and is a spyder?
I mean, if it is a business flight, charge the $15 fee for automated check-in?
I have a script on my home server that checks me in automatically at check-in time.
Most other airlines you’re paying to choose your seat too.
Love the color
Why exactly, does a Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor not count? Especially given that it (P3D) would blow the doors of the i8?
They certainly do not for every fire, and there is not a recall until there is an overwhelming number or they are forced to by the NHTSA.
I mean, are you mad every time there’s an ICE engine fire and an automaker doesn’t provide an official response as to what caused it?
It’s not misleading, you’re just not educated? on the matter. For example, Hyundai/Kia had a recent recall for reports of >3,000 fires: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a27053460/nhtsa-investigation-hyundai-kia-fires/
Obviously, Tesla does not sell as many vehicles as Kia did with the 2.0/2.4 engine. But can you…
The biggest problem is that there is no reprisal for the Police Officer enforcing his opinion rather than the law, and there should be.
If you’re going to ruin a person’s day (or days), cost them significant sums of money, as well as getting them in trouble with their employer because of you want to go on a power trip,…
You forgot:
5) You may want to survive in any type of accident.
I mean Encores start at 23k... and are barely tarted up Traxes.. what can you even load it with? Pleather seats?
We’ve been hearing this for years. No they’re not. Tesla is seen as innovative and cool; VW is not. Plenty of people buy on that image.
The worst that will happen to Tesla is they’ll have to continue raising funding/taking on debt. If the problem ever gets too bad some other company will just buy them out.
Battery swapping stations don’t need to happen.
They’re a logistical nightmare, unwieldy, not cost-effective, model specific, among a myriad of other problems.
Stop trying to make it happen.
