That asteroid doesn’t care if you are Jewish or not.

I’m a lifelong Springsteen fan- going back to 1979, kids. He should have made this album over thirty years ago. The tracks he’s released so far sound like a talented covers band. There’s no reimagining whatsoever, and his voice, though solid for his age, is not meant to be singing these songs at this point in his

I don’t think it’s being highlighted enough here:

And even with Snyder, it’s important to remember that Man of Steel was written by David S Goyer, based on a story by him and Christopher Nolan, and both Goyer and Nolan were involved with Batman v Superman as well (Goyer as writer, Nolan as a producer in an advisory position). So the first two movies still had major

DCEU’s problem up to now has been giving almost total control to Zack Snyder

I would definitely rather take that tone for every superhero movie over Snyder’s or even the Marvel house style.

Just reboot the damn DC cinematic universe and make Superman hopeful, corny, and kickass again.

Carly Rae Jepsen’s back for me, baby.

Maybe Dave Filoni will get the job, and immediately begin adding super-powerful original characters that all the old characters absolutely love and adore. And the new characters will have been there the whole time. And—oh, what, like there’s not room in the WHOLE ENTIRE DC UNIVERSE for new Dave Filonisues? Just

You deserve more stars for the amount of work you put in to that joke.

After Perry’s first departure, the The shōgun Tokugawa Ieyoshi died, and control of the shogunate passed to Tokugawa Iesada. As Iesada was a sickly young boy, the head of the rōjū Abe Masahiro polled all of the daimyō for their opinions on Perry’s demands, which had the unforeseen consequence of portraying the

How does this relate to his blockade of Japan in 1853 to get the Japanese to trade with America (which indirectly spurred the restoration of the Japanese Emperor and the militarization of Japan which led disastrously to Japanese Imperialism and WWII).

The most noteworthy thing for me is Michael B. Jordan directing on top of starring, like Ben Affleck and William Shatner. I’ve been following his work since Friday Night Lights, so I’m hoping we get more Affleck than Shatner.

Clayface you may know from Batman: The Animated Series” the extremely popular Harley Quinn cartoon series that’s airing in the present day Christ why does it feel like nobody at the AVClub has any sense of the media landscape any more?

I want Emily VanDerWerff/St. James back. And TV Club Classic. And just... something

The Harldy Boys in: The Mystery of the Missing Editor

Aw. :( I would have fucked up a Bill Murray if this were my kid.

Thank you for reintroducing coverage of Don’t Worry Darling. You can’t just give 46 articles one month and then deprive me the next. I want total coverage all the time! For instance, what does Florence Pugh think of Olivia Wilde’s make-up and hair in that photo?

I realize that this hasn’t a thing to do with the content of the article, but I’d like to thank you for not making this another goddamned slideshow.

I have the same feelings about The Jaunt. It’s a great story, but can realistically only be stretched to about 30 minutes of screentime.

The Jaunt is a great short story. There’s barely enough for a half hour Twilight Zone episode. But then, they made two movies out of The Lawnmower Man.

I thought part of the problem with At the Mountains of Madness is that Prometheus came out and GDT felt the plot was too similar.
