Agreed. I also think it has to do with sites trying to be more complex. I miss the good ole days when web sites were just text and images. No funny scripts or codes running in the background...

That seriously is one of the big differences, too, between The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. I went from F4 to this game, and you can tell each quest here felt special. It wasn’t your usual go-here-fetch-this quest. Each one had personality, even if it’s just the quirkiness of the person asking you to slay that monster.
That’s a great idea. Or even trick the server into thinking that it’s actually delivering the ads, but don’t actually display the ads for the users.
Huh. I never liked the writing on Forbes anyways. This just gives me an excuse never to go there then.
I’m not worried. I have faith. People are innovative. I’m sure someone will create AdBlock 3000VR for this stuff.
Sweet. Thanks! Now to google where he is...lol.
“Soon, Apple will change the game and release something perfect, a killer app that will finally make smarthomes work. That’s going to happen, right?”
I’ve been suggesting this since Halo 3. That was the peak of community maps and custom gaming for Halo. It all went downhill (probably deliberately by Microsoft/Bungie/343 to focus people on paid content) in Halo games after that.
Never ran into him. Will definitely look for him later if he’s still around.
Bungie stated it in one of their weekly updates, I believe. They announced there would be a spring update (the April one) and a meaty expansion in the fall. Destiny 2 would be coming in early 2017 (at least that was the timing they last mentioned; wouldn’t be surprised if they pushed it to fall 2017).
The interesting parts of the stream will be hearing them talk about the thought processes behind the difference parts of the raid.
Related: Netflix used to have this amazing feature on the Xbox 360 where an online party could all watch the same show at the same time (they all need to have Netflix; no freebies). Not sure why they got rid of it.

(Shhhh... it’s easy money for them...)
I played the beta. I expected it to get decimated. (And this is coming from someone who was optimistic about the franchise. The first game’s campaign wasn’t great, but had a lot of potential. The multiplayer was amazing. This new game though — nah.)
What are you guys using these smart plugs for?

“There just isn’t a lot of variety.”
Sorry, my philosophy is to report anyone that exhibits suspicious behavior. They may appear to be “really good at first-person shooters,” but could in fact be cheaters. I can’t tell. So I report them in case the developers have a more technical way to determine the truth.
Yeah, I’ll try again next week. Yesterday was about 8 days after the game launched on the XB1 so they might still be adding server capacity.
As long as they don’t have stupid long server queues like DC Universe Online... every time I try to play on the XB1, there’s a 2+ hour long wait just to get on to a server. That’s ridiculous.
