I guess there’s a market. I build custom furniture and don’t have a truck, so whatever doesn’t fit in one of my cars, I build the cost of a rental truck into my price. Beats having a truck (insurance, gas, parking, etc.) the other 47 or so weeks of the year.

Reminds me of the time a friend filled his 97 Passat TDI with gas (he was a 90% BD user most of the time). Siphoning out his tank sucked. Why did he fill his car with gas? Because the pump handle was green just like the couple of diesel pumps he used.

Agreed. I was driving last night at 65-70 on a highway that looked similar to that first picture. Snow tires and knowing what the hell you’re doing works. Sure, if you don’t have snows, or live in an area where it rarely snows, stay home or if you have to go out drive slow and take your time.
