Very true. My favorite planes are both over 100 years old. A little restoration, some paste wax, and you’re good to go.
A buddy of mine had lambo doors on his Escalade with 24” spinners. He’s a funeral home director / mortician... I’m pretty sure he got rid of it because it was sending the wrong message. Or maybe it was because it wasn’t black.... Not sure.

Nope, I still want the 914. Around here, any Porsche is going to be the only one at the car show. 30’s - 70’s American iron is plentiful around here. Anything else, not so much.
My dad owned one (until I came around). I’m very familiar with them, and the rust issues. I’d still pick a 914 over a Bagheera.
