Nope not even close to the first meme.
Nope not even close to the first meme.
Oh I dunno, I think the New Guy memes were a) more original and b) earlier than Tom Hanks at an irrelevant event making a face.
Pretty sure New Guy was the first meme of the year.
So wait now the only reason it was successful was because it was a comic book movie? Man the revisions on this movie are so fast. From “it’s too dangerous it shouldn’t be seen” to “it’s an incel fantasy” to “it’s actually a white power movie” to “it’s just a comic movie”.
She’s Indian, you idiot. Now you can ignore it since you racists only care about black people.
RIP, Ruth. I notice the whiney bully Michael Harriot is silent on this. Instead of desperately baiting Mayor Pete, maybe he should direct his energy towards this dude. Oh, wait... the murderer was black. Guess he gets a pass then.
This sounds terribly unjust to Union. Is there some kind of, I don’t know, professional organisation Union could join? A fellowship, or cooperative of some sort? I think Union could use the support of a collegiate body that could back her up in situations like this. And not just her; I think all working Americans…
I don’t agree with Clarkson hating on Greta, but I think his message is valid. Why should we sit around and argue about how we are going to die and when we are going to die, instead of focusing on how to fix these issues?
I don’t think the Kavalry *does* have the Veidt video. An inner circle of the Kavalry that Senator Keene is using to manipulate the Kavalry as a whole has it. I’m pretty certain the average Kavalry member doesn’t know about it and believes all of them are following Rorschach’s inspiration.
When Rorschach drops off his journal in the comics, it’s before he gets the full exposition dump from Veidt; all he has in the journal when he writes the last entry is that Veidt is at the center of SOMETHING but he doesn’t know what exactly. It’s another reason his journal would seem like the rantings of a lunatic,…
‘Every week I get to see Regina King in a healthy relationship, struggle to uncover her family’s secrets, and molly whop bad guys. A hero like Hooded Justice helps me feel seen in an entirely new way.’
Watchmen embraces sudden cuts to explicit gay anal sex. Just Lindelof’s current way of saying f you to the viewers. At least he does it half way through so I can stop watching instead of saving it for the end like in Lost.
It would have been a nice bonus, but adding a “good” white cop would have undercut the narrative.
Hollis Mason (night owl 1) is inspired by a Superman comic he picks up on his beat, I think the idea is that after Hooded Justice et al appear on the scene, superhero comics as a genre become less popular because the element of escapism is gone, and the pirate genre fills that gap
“...even if that relationship would likely be the most fulfilling and loving one she’s ever experienced.”
The pivot from “this movie looks interesting!” to “this movie will get people murdered by toxic incels and should not be seen” by a bunch of people who hadn’t seen the movie was just easily the most abrupt pre-lash that I can think of.
I find the idea that comedy must “punch up” to be a strange one. I guess it makes sense if you view comedy as a tool for social justice, in which case the punching up shows truth to power and such. But if you view comedy as an expression of humor, it’s an odd requirement.
So you mean it’s working correctly.
Sorry kiddo, technology works off facts, not feelings.
Don’t you like Rob Zombie movies?
WHY? Don’t they make you puke?? Aren’t they fuckin gory?!
