I like to pop the brake pistons out while it is still all together. You don’t launch them across the room in a spray of fluid. You also did not address the real fun. When you get one piston out but not the other. Channel Locks and a vise and destroying piston time.

When popping the pistons, I recommend holding a wood block over the top of the pistons. Then you can pop them right out without having to worry about putting an eye out.
