Yes, me too. I’ve got and e46 330i and the transmission doesn’t shift anything like the one in the video, and thats with a stock length shifter.

Which transmission and/or mods does he have, as my e46 330i has the sloppiest throws I’ve ever felt in a “modern” car. It’s still not great even with a shorter shifter from another BMW and with the bushings replaced.
Damn, I was going to say something looked fishy from the front of the car and find a fish to compare it to, but hell I loved Darkwing Duck. Star awarded, great job
Wow, I can’t read J.D. Power (made up award, initial quality first 90 days) now without thinking of Mahk:
Ha, I just posted about the 2nd gen RX-7 having a similar setup. I didn’t realize there were others with the same light flapper control.
I’d say Both, as in the case of the 2nd gen FC RX-7. The steering wheel had nothing else on it other than the horn, but had knobs to control lights (popups) and windshield wipers, and then had stalks coming out of the dash to control the blinkers, and cruise control.
This is the Gir I was hoping for
Thank you, came here looking for this very example! Great job, take a star
Do it! It was totally worth the $95 for both studs and nuts, at least for me as I track the car, so taking off wheels fairly often.
F* wheel bolts, they are the worst! Just installed studs on the 330i, can’t stand having wheel bolts.
No offense taken, its all personal preference. The interior has red stitching all over, so I liked having a red shift knob to go with it. That was the 3rd style of shift knob I’d tried out and liked, the weight made shifting smoother, and the height made it easier to grab and shift without having to look for it.
Probably just the pics as at the last alignment I had them put rear camber at 0, helps loosen up the rear for drifting.
Yeah, even with the stock intake, you get some blower whine. If you change the front part of the intake, it really howls. Since this was my daily, I didn’t want too much noise, and there’s not a lot of gains from an intake, so didn’t waste my time or money on one.
Kerbeck has one listed for 58k
Wow, that’s a great deal, nice find. I had been searching for the Z51 2lt with Mag Ride for a while, but they had GS going for the same price.
Good reply and reasoning. Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for the great reply, write up and tips! I do realize what you have pointed out about KBB and selling it as stock. I am getting to the point of pulling the parts off and reverting back to stock for an easier and quicker sale.
Thank you. The 86's respond so well to a little boost and truly make the car feel as it should have been from the factory. I don’t agree that the extra power “ruins” the car as so many are want to say. I lived with it stock for a while, but truly missed torque for everyday driving, the SC fixed that.
Eh, that’s your opinion, and you are welcome to it. If I saw a tastefully modded car with all the meticulous records, I wouldn’t be adverse to buy it and would see the value in it.
Honestly, the chassis is great and can handle much more power. There are swaps out there already with 2J’s and LS motors, and they do just fine.
