Yeah, just got done with Bloodborne last night and I loved the gameplay so much I bought all FromSoft's games and will be starting Dark Souls 1 tonight..... Guess I will never play this one online........ Sometimes it seems modder’s just want to watch the world burn....

The only people still playing aren’t “extremely skilled”, most of them glitch or cheat to grief new players. That’s definitely true of the PC version, where someone can invade and just instantly kill you without even seeing you due to cheat programs.
