I actually think the Destiny model is more frightening. Destiny cut a lot of corners to sell for $60 and pre-sold DLC with talk of big hyped plans for story expansions and then it turned out the story out of the box was barely worth mentioning and a DLC pack release in and things still aren't nearly as expansive as

There are charts,

Remember the days when we thought horse armor was ridiculous?

Pre-purchase the $100 PC Monster Race Edition for access to 18 hunters, five monsters, four monster skins. The extra PC content will be available to console players for purchase after 30 days.

I got burned with Destiny. Im not buying any game that doesnt have a single player campaign that is at least 20 to 40hrs long unless it was on sale for 10 or less dollars. This multi-player only, dlc overload is just too much BS.

Holy crap... I was considering this game. Thought it looked like a game I'd buy if it was around $30, but now that I see they're charging $60 AND expect me to buy another $60+ in DLC to get the full experience? No deal.

I'm scared to death to stream now. How am I supposed to avoid getting swatted? No one seems to explain how this happens. It makes me feel like any streamer is vulnerable at any point. I want to be able to enjoy streaming, but how the crap am I supposed to enjoy streaming? I don't want to risk it.

I hate to mention this, but after viewing his 'response to those who swatted him', I have to say that he clearly gave them exactly what they were looking for imho, and if anything what he did, breaking down and crying like that and begging them not to ever do it again, will likely serve to make these kinds of assholes

You need to add a big giant "BUT" at the end there, and mention that because Evolve has the most asinine approach to post-release and DLC, that you shouldn't even bother with it until 12 months after it's officially released.

The real crime here is that there is 60,000 people watching someone play Runescape..Yeah I get it Runescape is still a popular game but 60,000 in a single stream? Twitch pls.

I blame 4/8/whateverChan, reddit, & pro-gamergate trolls for this.

It's small comfort, but on the same day Peters was swatted, another swatter has been arrested.

This kind of shit is so insane - and it's incredibly discouraging to anyone thinking about getting into streaming.

I don't think going "Yeah right" and then ignoring the anonymous caller is the right way to go. Real or fake, they have the responsibility to respond, they don't have the means and the time to investigate the legitimacy of the situation before acting, if it was real, then acting first is the right way. If they were

Prosecute swatters as attempted murder.

Not sure what's more offensive, the video itself or that it was completely unfunny. The premise isnt even unique - you can do this with anything that personofies anything that's not a person. Oh wow, so fresh.

Dat irrelevant reference tho

Thanks, you didnt have to say that.

Its as if 2,338 virgins all cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

The fact that other games have utilized systems similar to the Destiny loot reset/obsolescence does not make that system less bad.
