It will be an unpopular opinion, but I’m glad somebody said it. ITS THE TRUTH.

OH NOEEESSSS NOT THE OLD FLASH VIDEO GAMES!!!!111111
I’m pretty sure the Apple ][ games I made with Adventure Construction Set are also unplayable by now.
But seriously:
Yes, and you can change your email I assume with no problem, I’ve never had to, which suggests that its your PSN ID that is the primary key in the database to which all the other records are indexed. Everything boils down to the idea that there is a structural reason that your PSN ID is effectively permanent - that…
You liked Helix, bent over backwards to excuse its inconsistencies, poor plotting, characterization, science, failure to close plot lines, because it was “jawdropping batshit insane” (http://io9.com/helix-is-syfys…) , yet for this show I hear nothing but how terrible it is. Go figure.
No if he is guilty hes guilty, I just see a bunch of really flimsy evidence. Collisions when you are using the same common source material are common and the internet likes to crucify people. Especially when they are making money.
They are, but you need to change the way each pulls information from the database when you change the underlying data model. At minimum you are rewriting a function in each database client.
If it waa just one service, No not hard. But its not one service. Its every game that fetches info from psn, the stores, the psn rewards program, the sony website and all its daughters, ps3, ps4, vita os and who knows what else. Any change has to be synchronous across those platforms.
I’m not. :/
Like I said, it doesn’t take anything away from people, so if you don’t want other people to have it, you have to assume its because you *think* you’re losing something you had, presumably access to know when other people are online even if they don’t want you to know that.
When its your billion dollar corporation, you can handle your IT priorities as you see fit. Nyah.
Likewise. Knowing full well that other people will take the six and ruin it for everyone, I’ll take the six to insure I’m either included in the winners or no worse off. I don’t owe any of those people anything - I paid for that class.
Its a guess, based on how reticent they are to allow us to change those names, but its the type of thing that would happen in a system that nobody expected to grow so large, onion style, written by people who had no experience writing such systems and were locked into the mistakes made by their predecessors.
Its the same thing though, he approved you not being there in exchange for not getting paid - otherwise should have fired you on the spot, because your actual health condition is completely private - maybe he sees you jet skiing, means nothing if you’re having an acute attack of a copier toner / sharpie fume allergy…
Loss of user data is the best case. EXPOSING user data is the worse scenario when the database becomes corrupted. I’m sure they backup the database and would test any model changes for a while before pushing them into production, but there’s also probably no common API for doing pulls which means every individual…
But your account name is what your logins are based on, what the psn store pulls billing information on, etc. Every service would then need to know to pull your old, hidden psn ID based on the new ‘visible name’. Its not just what they show you, its that all the information is tied to this unchanging ID, and changing…
Oh, it started with Nixon. Reagan just took it up to 11.
Those are the people who WANT to know what you’re doing at all times so they have the choice of pestering you to join their game or not. You’re *robbing* them by hiding from them. They are the reason offline features were invented in the first place. The people who think you owe it to them to let them keep tabs on…
I just want to know where do those people come from and why do they keep inflicting them on the rest of us. Sorry to hear that. They are the type to insist you friend them on every social network just so they can cyberstalk you during your off hours. Its *your* sick leave - you negotiated for it when you signed a…
The trophies would probably still pop with date stamps, even if they waited until you were next online to do so. This is why you don’t put the boss on your friends list.
Also, I would point out that you could clearly say “what did you expect me to do while I was home bedridden with ebola? Why I totally decided to…
