Agreed. As someone who was about 12-13 when it first aired, I used to catch it on Nick pretty frequently. While I can understand being somewhat embarrassed of the show (especially considering the BTS stuff she endured), she was pretty great on it and definitely one of the highlights IMO.

“Itchy and Scratchy”, the cartoon beloved by Bart & Lisa, introduced Poochy, a new character that was hated by all. The show’s producers hastily wrote him out with a title card at the end of the episode that just said “Poochy died on the way back to his home planet”, without any previous mention of him ever having

TEMPTING CANCERAIDS IN A NEWS ITEM ABOUT SOMEONE WHO DIED OF CANCER IS NOT A GOOD LOOK.

Britton played Richard Jewell in Manhunt, Hauser played Richard Jewell in the Eastwood film, Richard Jewell.

I really liked Infinite Warfare.

Damn, that Tremors trailer looks great! And they actually got Kevin Bacon, what the hell happened there to tank it??

You want this man to die BEFORE he can see everything he’s worked for humiliatingly stripped from him and forced to face the consequences of a life built on lies and hatred? Where’s your humanity?

I think that’s why it’s so funny.

Financially this is probably a good decision, at least for today. I’m sure they’ve run the math.  But it’s definitely short-sighted.

Even if that was the case, it was going straight to streaming anyway. When you add in that a Scooby Doo movie that was near completion also got canceled, several other movies were dropped in various stages of production, all the canceled TV shows including some that had completed filming and were set to air, and stuff

Just to clear things up from speculation, this had nothing to do with the actress’ race. There’s a tax loophole that allows WBD to recoup pretty much all of their money by writing it off. Same reason why the Scoob sequel was canned. Even if Batgirl was starring a white girl, it would have been canned.

They cancelled “Chad” literally on the premiere date of its 2nd season. Unless Gunn has some type of fancy and sparkled legal document saying he gets a 2nd season that will air, I wouldn’t trust a single thing Discovery told me.

It was that it was unfinished. They’re trying hard to paper over that.

There’s going to a book written about the Discovery-WB merger. It’s just been one of the worst things to happen to entertainment in a while, affecting so many different platforms.

Yeah right. I give it a year and change for when it shows up on HBO Max.

The difference is that Black Panther (despite that, still) made $1.3 Billion at the box office and won a couple of Academy Awards on top of several other nominations.

Both Variety and HR are reporting it had nothing to do with the quality of the film. It’s more a continuation of Zaslav axing everything and wanting DC movies to only be big budget theatrical releases rather than streaming original movies on HBO Max. While also trying to wrangle the DCEU into a more unified universe.

According to Variety, whose sources I trust more than the New York Post, it wasn’t about the quality of the film but a continuation of Zaslov’s slash and burn reorganizing of the film and TV division. He wants all DC stuff to be huge theatrical releases, not mid-budget direct to HBO Max releases. Not only does not

Given how WB Discovery treated most of its CW shows, I can believe they’d be stupid enough to spend $90 million on Batgirl & then refuse to release it anywhere.
