God, no. Not to dunk on the song itself, as it’s indeed awesome, but pandering to the 80's cartoon fans was one of the many weakpoints of Out of the Shadows.
The original TMNT movie is a genuinely good movie and doesn’t get enough credit as being one of the better comic book adaptations.
The 2007 movie was alright, for what it was. Ridiculous out-of-nowhere fantasy plot and some stilted voice acting aside, it nailed the look of the Turtles and had some great action setpieces. I’d watch it again (and have) before I gave the giant live action turtles another two hours. Read more
