Nothing about the murder investigation has made any sense in a practical or reasonable way when it comes to building a murder case.

I agree with this. The present day story this season is wildly disjointed and filled with plot holes (especially with the murder investigation), but the actors are keeping it afloat.

Yeah, my understanding is that the tax breaks were more directly related to the unfinished projects that won’t get finished or released (Scoob 2, Batgirl). I’m sure there are some tax benefits to this, but not to the same level as those projects. This is more about avoiding residuals and other associated costs.

Adam and Mom were totally superfluous in the movie, but anything that gives me more golden Elizabeth Debicki is ok in my book.

Critically, perhaps, but in terms of a cultural discussion and zeitgeist, and most importantly viewership it did not do that great, especially when compared to Mando. They had to drop the opening three episodes on Hulu to get people even remotely interested.

Gisondo is one of the most underrated comedy actors working today. There’s this, Santa Clarita Diet, Wet Hot American Summer. He’s great.

100%. This is exactly why I haven’t even considered paying for AppleTV+ despite all of the critical acclaim. They’ve got about 12 movies and and 15 shows. I can crush that all in a month. I’m not subscribing to something that doesn’t have 100 obscure 1 season shows or 10 year behemoths I can watch for years.

This is my understanding as well.  The tax breaks were more for the nearly completed movies that they were not going to release.  Pulling of completed programming has more to do with residual payments.

Hot take:
Temple of Doom and Last Crusade are both better overall soundtracks than Raiders. While Raiders is great, the best part of that score is also in the other two which both have more individual memorable pieces.
