I laughed my ass off at this because I have been asking the exact same question since that episode, and if you brought it up on Reddit or other Star Wars groups you were met with a chorus of iT dOeSn’T wOrK lIKe tHaT!

At home those “pause for applause” moments are super egregious during the introduction Andrew and Tobey, making it even more galling that they are introduced in the exact same way in the exact same scene.

Lily Gao played Nancy Gao in Season 5 of The Expanse, and once I saw that it was her that all this was about (having not played the game yet) I wasn’t surprised.  She’s wasn’t bad on the show, but she did come across as bit stiff.
