Definitely the best episode so far. Played down the worst aspects of the show (terrible modern dialogue), and really leaned into the fantasy adventure aspects. Even the use of a modern song during the training montages was decent, as the song actually fit the tone of the scene.  And a satisfying resolution to the Kit…

They didn't make the VFX shortlist a few weeks back, and I had them pegged as a potential winner.

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Hell, his best performance is Born on the Fourth of July, and the only reason he didn’t win Best Actor that year was DDL.

I could actually see GLOW being the major argument against this claim, as it was cancelled pretty much because of COVID delays.  They were ready to do another season, but the nature of the show meant that a ton of people would have been in close contact in the early days of the pandemic.

Tess is a few things in the game, but dynamic is not one of them.

If it makes a difference the next episode has been singled out by previewers as the best of the run.

Yeah, but there was also a Kotaku article from someone who admitted said they only played the prologue who spent the whole time shit-talking Troy Baker’s Joel, one of the most acclaimed video game performances of all time, as bad.

I honestly think I liked that more than the premiere. It showed that they can do more than just adapt the cutscenes and are able to take the actual gameplay loop and make it compelling to watch. There’s a lot of weird modern dialogue and such in this show.

Exactly why I updated to it.  It was half the price of the tier I was currently on.

Suprisingly popular..  they only expected 4.5 million subs and got over 7.

Because it is an “adaptation” of existing characters.

She got stabbed once in the stomach and left for dead outside the house. The original ending was meant to be much more ambiguous and leave breadcrumbs that either she or Sidney survived (the hospital finale was not present originally).

Scream 2 didn’t get a greenlight until 3 months after the premier of Scream, so if that’s your barometer for levels planning, you’ll need to readjust it.  And it is well documented that whatever the original plan for Scream 2 was did not end up being the final product.

There’s actually more time between 5 and 6 than there was between 1 and 2. And there was actually a plan for 6, unlike 2.

They already did and it was called Mad Max: Fury Road.
