Remember, you all mean a lot to me
Could have sworn I lived in Canada when I went to bed last night. Manifest Destiny works fast. I guess no sales tax will be a big bonus.
I tried out 4 guns today. A .45 1911, AR-15, SKS & KSG. First time shooting, despite having my firearms licence for 7 years now.
A nice picture of Targa’s new doo as a buffer.
Remember trunk monkey?
I saw a Mercedes A Class hatch today for the first time on the road (dealers don’t count for DOTS) and a Hyundai Palisade.
Good to see a few people again and meet some new people today! Nkato, Zoidberg, Studystudystudy, just-a-scratch, Simonkhtse, Spaceball-Two & Gettingoldercarguy. (don’t think I missed anyone)
I know there will be likely no interest, but Simonktse and I are meeting in Blaine around 6:45am at THIS CHEVRON tomorrow to drive Chuckanut Drive and the coast down to highway 20 and back to I5 before going to Tacoma.
Photos from my dad last week
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an upside down plate before.
I actually really enjoy reading about what shit people haul around all day. I thought I’d share what I have. No weapons or anything because that is super duper illegal in Canada. If you’ve met me, you may have noticed I carry this man purse around (no shame).
Do you need a car as unique as you? Something that says “why yes, I have an extensive vinyl collection”? Something that has the same origins as the flimsy furniture in your small apartment and just about the same reliability and build quality? You need a Volvo.
Are you over 60? Can you remember when America was great? Do you think there is no replacement for displacement? Have you recently or are about to become single? You are the Corvette’s target market.
I’ve been listening to a new podcast, Causality, which looks at the root causes of many “accidents” and incidents. This specific episode is about offroad vehicles and rollovers, specifically the effect of roll cages on rollover risk. His show notes provide a wealth of information that I found very interesting.
Ran a gopro on both the front and back. I like the angles, but the footage was unusable from the rear gopro due to reasons that are my fault (heavy full size gopro + flex mount = uncontrollable vibration)
Operation GoPro was not a success. I’ll try again tomorrow.
Washed the truck, going to strap a couple gopros on it set to timelapse and drive around during the “golden hour”. We’ll see if that results in any good photos.
